Précision : les informations au sujet de l'anneau de Saruman se trouvent dans le récit de Gandalf lors du Conseil d'Elrond :
Il est donc factuel que Saruman possède un anneau. Si l'on croit ses propres paroles, il serait aussi capable d'en forger lui-même, ce qui impliquerait vraisemblablement qu'il porte son propre anneau.
