Merci pour la citation. Concernant la partie sur le nord physique, je crois que je vais faire une recherche plus approfondie. La seule info que j'ai, c'est une note :

There is a physical North Pole in The Father Christmas Letters—see the 1926 letter—so Tolkien must be referring to continental drift rather than shifting magnetic poles (Tolkien 2009, 20). Also the North Pole would have been more habitable at a different latitude.

Je supposerai bien que cela fait référence à l'adresse (Cliff House, Top of the World, Near the North Pole), mais sans plus d'indications, ça reste une référence assez floue.
