En me promenant dans un "jardin remarquable" de notre cher village aujourd'hui, je suis tombé sur son nom latin : Vallis Læta « Vallée Joyeuse ».
La deuxième forme ne vous rappelle rien ? Moi, ça me fait étrangement penser à Lalaith « rire(s) » ou à la racine [b]LALA[b]- « rire » (PE17/159), ou encore à cette note (PMe/343/359) :
