We all came out to Erebor on the Long Lake shoreline
To find gold and Arkenstone - We didn't have much time
Thorïn Oakenshield and the twelve dwarves were at the worst place around
But some dragon with a flame gun burned Esgaroth to the ground

Bard and Bilbo was running in and out, pulling people out of the ground
When it all was over, we had to find another place
Middle-earth time was running out - It seemed that we would lose the race

We ended up at the town of Dale - It was empty, cold and bare
But with the working Dwarves Stones Thing just outside making our business there
With a few steel axes an' a few old blankets, we made a place to sweat
No matter what we get out of this, I know... I know we'll never forget
