Loin au devant la route file,
Et d’un pas preste, d’un pas agile
marchant sans cesse avec entrain

Et où donc? Je ne peux le dire.

J'aime beaucoup ! Guilleret et plein d'expectative.
Autre vision, à la rime un peu trop flottante - je crois que cette version, aux pieds fatigués (weary) plutôt qu'impatients (eager), est tirée du Hobbit :
Sans fin se poursuit le chemin
Jailli de ma porte, il s’enfuit.
A présent fourvoyé au loin
Je dois le suivre, si je puis,
Allonger mon pas fatigué,
Jusqu’à rejoindre l’avenue
Où d’autres voies ont conflué.
Et puis alors ? Point je ne sus.

Contrairement à moi, tu as respecté l'alternance de rime comme dans le texte original. J'ai essayé mais je n'y arrivais pas sans trop déformer ce texte avec une traduction hasardeuse et n'étant pas spécialement bilingue, j'ai préféré faire ça.
