Au détour de lecture, je suis tombée sur ça

D'ailleurs, du moins dans ma version de l'Atlas, page 53, Rhosgobel est beaucoup plus au sud, même loin au sud de la route, que sur deux autres cartes pages 76 et 81.

Selon le SdA et le Hobbit, Rhosgobel serait situé en bordure de Mirkwood, entre le Champs aux Iris et la Lorien

Dans les CLI 4.2 note n°4

In a very late note on the names of the Istari Radagast is said to be a name deriving from the Men of the Vales of Anduin, "not now clearly interpretable." Rhosgobel, called "the old home of Radagast" in The Fellowship of the Ring II 3, is said to have been "in the forest between the Carrock and the Old Forest Road."

A mon humble avis, je cautionne plus cette seconde version : d'une part elle semble plus tardive, et par ailleurs, Rhosgobel au Sud de Mirkwood... vous avez vu où est Dol Guldur ? Je doute que radagast s'installe si près !
